The short version
You can read every price, scheme, forecast and story on SaveAgri without an account and without telling us anything about yourself. We ask for details only when you want to do something that needs them, such as posting a listing.
What we store

What we never ask for
- Your bank account number, card number, UPI PIN or any OTP. Nobody from SaveAgri will ever ask you for these.
- Your Aadhaar number or any other government identification number.
- Payment of any kind to apply for a job, a scheme or a loan.
If a message claiming to be from SaveAgri asks for any of these, it is not from us. Stop replying and tell us through the contact page.
Who can see what
Your listings, your forum posts and the name and photo attached to them are public, because a buyer or another farmer has to know who they are talking to. Your email address is not shown on a listing. Enquiries are passed between you and the other person and are not public.
Your saved searches, your saved items and your profile location are yours alone and are never shown to anyone else.
Who else is involved
A small number of services make the site work, and each one sees only what it needs.
- Google sign in confirms who you are. We receive your name, email address and photo. Google never receives your SaveAgri activity.
- Our hosting provider serves the pages and keeps ordinary server logs.
- A translation service translates page text when you pick another language. Page text is sent, your account details are not.
- Advertising appears on some pages and may use cookies to decide which advert to show. You can turn these off in your browser settings and the site still works.
We do not sell your details to anyone, and we do not pass them to a data broker.
How long we keep it
- Your account and profile stay until you ask us to delete them.
- A listing stays until you remove it or it expires, and is then held for 90 days in case of a dispute.
- Forum posts stay while the thread does, because a thread with holes in it is no use to the next reader.
- Anonymous page counts are kept for 2 years.
Your choices
You can ask us to do any of the following, and we will do it within 30 days.
- Show you everything we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your account and everything attached to it.
- Remove a single listing or post without closing your account.
Write to privacy@saveagri.org from the email address on the account. Most of it you can also do yourself from your account pages.
Children
SaveAgri is built for adults making farming decisions. Do not create an account if you are under 18. If you tell us an account belongs to a child, we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we store or who we share it with, we will change this page and move the date at the top. If the change is a significant one, we will say so on the site rather than leaving you to notice the date.
