Why the site exists
A farmer deciding when to sell has to check a mandi board, a scheme notice, a weather bulletin and a bank circular, and every one of them lives somewhere else. Most sites that collect these numbers do not say when they read them or who they got them from, so a rate from 3 weeks ago looks exactly like a rate from this morning.
SaveAgri collects them in one place and prints the date and the source next to every figure. That is the whole idea. A number you cannot check is not worth having.
Who it is for
Farmers first. Then the students, researchers and officers who need the same figures and currently pull them out of PDFs by hand. The site is free to read and does not ask you to sign in to see a price.
What is on the site
The site is organised into 7 sections, with 68 pages placed under them.
- Prices. Mandi rates, support prices, milk, eggs, poultry, livestock, seed, fertiliser, diesel and land values.
- Agri career. Jobs, exams, study material, courses, journals and institute directories.
- Finance. Government schemes, loans, insurance and scholarships, each with a checker.
- Mart. Sell your harvest or your machine, and find labour, transport and cold storage.
- Inspect. Check a crop, a soil card or an animal, or reach a verified agronomist or vet.
- Plan my season. Cost and profit, yield, sowing calendar, rainfall, reservoirs and groundwater.
- Community. The farmer forum, market days near you and farming news from named sources.
Pages that are still being built are listed in the menus anyway, marked as not ready. Hiding them would make the site look smaller than the plan actually is.
The rules we hold ourselves to
If we cannot show you where a number came from, we do not publish the number.
- Every figure carries the date it was read and a link to the page it was read from.
- We do not invent a number to fill a gap. An empty table says it is empty.
- A forecast is labelled a forecast and shows how confident the model is.
- Prototype sections say so on every screen, so demo listings are never mistaken for real offers.
- We never ask for a fee to apply for a job, a scheme or a loan, and no one from SaveAgri will ever ask you for an OTP.
