What a bag is supposed to cost. Keep this open at the dealer, because overcharging at sowing time is common and the printed price is the law for urea.

If you are overcharged
- No dealer may charge above the printed MRP. Urea in particular is fixed by law.
- If you are overcharged, call the fertiliser helpline on 1800-180-1551 or tell your District Agriculture Officer.
- Before you buy, check the batch number and manufacturing date on the bag, and buy only from a licensed dealer.
- Relying on urea alone causes micronutrient deficiency over time. A soil test tells you what your land actually lacks.
