Who is not eligible
Fields without an existing well or borewell are not sanctioned. Applications beyond the district's annual target for the year are held over to the next year.

Deadline
Applications are taken against an annual district target. Apply early in the financial year.
How to apply
- Apply at the block or district Agricultural Engineering Department office, or through the department's online portal.
- Wait for the work order or approval before starting the work or buying anything.
- After completion, submit the bills and completion certificate; the subsidy is credited to your bank account.
If rejected
- Ask the block office whether the district target for the year was already exhausted.
- Correct any land-record mismatch and re-apply when the next window opens.
- Ask whether a smaller or different unit under the same scheme can be sanctioned.
