Who is not eligible
Units larger than the micro enterprise limit, and projects that do not process food, are outside the scheme. The subsidy is credit-linked, so a project without a sanctioned bank loan does not receive it.
Documents needed
- Aadhaar and PAN
- Udyam or enterprise registration
- Detailed project report
- Bank loan application and quotations for machinery
Deadline
Applications are accepted on the national portal on a continuing basis, subject to the scheme's operational period.
How to apply
- Register on the PMFME portal and contact the district resource person assigned to help applicants.
- Prepare the project report and apply to a bank for the term loan.
- Once the bank sanctions the loan, the capital subsidy is released to the loan account as back-ended assistance.
If rejected
- Ask the bank which part of the project report or collateral position failed.
- Use the district resource person to revise the report — this help is free under the scheme.
- Consider applying as part of an SHG or FPO group project, where the terms are often easier.
