Depends

A landholding farmer family may qualify for ₹6,000 per year in three instalments when its land record and family details are accepted and no exclusion applies. Aadhaar eKYC is mandatory.

Who is not eligible

Institutional landholders and families covered by the scheme's higher-income or professional exclusions are not eligible. These include specified constitutional or elected-office holders, many serving or retired government employees, income-tax payers and registered professionals.

Documents needed

  • Aadhaar number
  • Bank account linked for direct benefit transfer
  • Land record details from the state portal
  • Mobile number for eKYC and status updates

Deadline

Registration is open all year; payment follows successful land-record and eKYC verification.

How to apply

  1. Open the official PM-KISAN portal and use New Farmer Registration, or visit an authorised common service centre.
  2. Enter Aadhaar, mobile, bank and land-record details exactly as they appear in official records.
  3. Complete Aadhaar eKYC and use Know Your Status to track verification and instalments.

If rejected

  1. Check Know Your Status to find which verification step failed.
  2. Correct Aadhaar, eKYC, bank or land-record mismatches through the portal or your village administrative office.
  3. Use the official PM-KISAN helpdesk if the corrected record is still not processed.
