Namo Drone Didi (drones for women's SHGs)

Who is not eligible

Individuals cannot apply — the benefit goes to a registered women's self-help group under the rural livelihoods mission. Groups outside the selected clusters for the year are not covered.

Documents needed

• SHG registration papers and group bank account
• Aadhaar of the member who will train as pilot
• Resolution of the group agreeing to take up the activity
• Details of the farming area the group will serve

Deadline

Groups are selected in batches through the rural livelihoods mission. Approach your block mission office to know the current selection round.

How to apply

1. Ask your block or district rural livelihoods mission office whether your cluster is included this round.
2. Pass a group resolution and nominate one member for drone pilot training.
3. On selection, the member completes the remote pilot certificate training and the group takes delivery of the drone package.

If rejected

1. Ask whether your cluster is scheduled for a later round.
2. Strengthen the group's records — regular meetings, savings and bank transactions all count in selection.
3. Consider the general drone subsidy route for individuals if the group route is closed.
