The scheme "Planting Assistance Program for Hybrid Seeds of Vegetable Crops" introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to provide financial support to farmers for the cultivation of hybrid vegetable seeds and encourage natural farming practices.

Benefits

  1. Financial support of 40% of the cost incurred for the hybrid seed plantation, ₹50,000/- per hectare unit cost.
  2. Maximum assistance of ₹20,000/- per hectare under both components:
  • Hybrid Seed Plantation.
  • Promotion of Natural Farming in Vegetable Crops.

Who can apply (eligibility)

  1. The applicant must be a farmer.
  2. For natural farming component, the farmer must be listed by the district ATMA office or be part of a FIG practicing natural farming.

How to apply

Online application

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at I-Khedut Portal: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/

Step 2: On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.

Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button and an application page will open.

Step 4: Click on "Apply New" button and submit a new application.

Step 5: Click on the "Update Application" button to add corrections to the application.

Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.

Step 7: Take a print out of the confirmed application.
