Offline application

  • The District Bhesaj Coordinator, Bhesaj Vikas Ikai, selects residents of designated villages/pattis within the chosen development block who are willing to work in a cluster (10 farmers from 2–3 villages) and wish to cultivate herbs suitable to the local climate and altitude through a training camp. The cluster-wise list of selected participants is sent to headquarters for the demand of saplings as per the action plan. Subsequently, these individuals are ensured to receive saplings from selected nurseries in July–August (rainy season) according to the five-nali standard.
  • The District Bhesaj Coordinator then registers the planted saplings with the Herbal Research and Development Institute, Gopeshwar. Three months before harvest, the District Bhesaj Coordinator issues a free challan to any market or pharmacy selling the cultivated species.
