*****RESULTS OF THE POTATO EXPERIEMENT*****…. the potatoes that received large amounts of ash fertilizer displayed ZERO ISSUES whatsoever!… in fact they were a bit harder and with higher yields than the potatoes that did not receive it… for me the issue is settled = Using ash to fertilize potatoes is very beneficial.
How would that work on blackberry plants.
This is what we are still using here, at least some#Africa
Please can it be applied to maize crop and what ratio
Love your video. You answered my questions of what to use it on.
Can I use it for bottom watering too?
No rain wash, thank you!!!
Can you mix them together??
…,
Avoid burning pallets for ash, they are commonly sprayed with copper salts or old to keep bugs and fungi from eating the wood
I very much appreciate science of nature.
I would like more information on such topic s. Thanks again.
HELP!!! My medical plant that I desperately need to grow well, has brown tips at the old growth, I am almost certain that I have a potassium deficiency in early growth stage,I’m burning some green egg hardwood lump coal( nothing but the best for my lady) with maple tree and pine fingerling branches. Is there a way of getting her the pot ash faster without overwatering ( she is in a home made earth bucket with bottom water holding and exiting ability) without direct surface watering if needed ????ANYONE ASH WELL? Flood bottom water reservoir with concentrated ash fert ?
Ive always dumped my woodstove ashes right in my compost pile fir years. The plants live it.
Isn’t that a 4 to 1 ratio Nate?
Is this safe for cannabis plants?
Really, you are doing great. Keep it up.
Theoretically would the burning of untreated/unbleached paper and/or cardboard have a similar effect?
Home fire wood ash usually has only about 1-2% of potash. Fresh apple tree prunings ie 1 or 2 year old on the other hand has approx 10-12% potash. My source? Gardeners Chronicle snd horticultural trades journal from about 45 years ago. Easier to use comfrey.
grows great pinky nails i see,,,
We have a serious potato scab problem and are working hard to bring the pH down to 5.3, at which scab becomes inactive. It's taking us three years, using elemental sulfur. That's the one place I would never use wood ash water, as it does raise the pH of the soil. I've experimented with this. Higher pH is just fine for most of the garden. It also reduces clubroot problems in the brassicas.
Thanks for the tutorial pls what's the name of the preservative and what quantity this is 6month ago
Can I add this to the activated bio char ?
wow! omg so interesting you are such a wealth of knowledge and are an incredible teacher ..you always say the “ why” THANK YOU!
that nice i always use wóid for cooking
watching here in cebu phillippines
I’d been wanting to use wood ash but didn’t know how. Thanks!
Can you use it on corn
What can I use organic to keep my ph down on my indoor legal plants I used lemon and it goes back up
Thank you so much for sharing this to us
My young bell peppers, their falling of, and I really don't know what is causing it. Could you tell me what can I do to help it?
I have tryed potatoes two times second time I got just a few The 3rd time I used wood ash once a week like u say I didn’t get tons but I got a bunch Thank u plus this year I am doing them as u showed
Please can you do how we can extract fertelizer from Mexican sunflower
Couldn’t you just put the ash around the plants and let the rain do the rest?
Anyone know if burning bananapeels and using the ash as a fertilizer would work? If so can I do it with other high pottasium sources as well like old fruit?
I've always just dusted beets and alliums w/ the powder.
You have a fun personality
I enjoy listening to u
No leaf mold?
Thanks for the tips. Can I use wood ashes in an okra or à watermelon farm?
I did this by accident…first it was for making lye….
By burning the leaves and all kinds of branches….for the ash…
I had a lot of Ash.. so I covered all that extra ash with dirt…back to the ground. ..Forgot about it ..when I planted melons directly where the ash dirt location was…..now….the melons are huge..end of the story..😂
Of you make nutrient rich compost is it not common knowledge you shouldn't use fertilizers of any kind, as they will disrupt the microbiology of the soil you've created..
I me many cubic metres of compost from cow, horse poo mixed with lawn clippings dried leaves from serval trees we have, an also use straw from chicken coop full of their waist as well… Very rich once done… I do add calcium from dried eggs and ash from our Fire, and maybe a small amount of.blood and bone…
I'm reluctant to add fertilizers of any kind, fearing to kill micobium…
Your thoughts…
If I don't have access to wood ash, is there anything else I can use? I'm trying to make your Bloom Fertilizer and have made the Lactic Acid, but don't have wood ash.
It's so sad the amount of gardening and farming knowledge that has been lost, thanks to the system, and big Agriculture, and people pushing Agriculture products, and people pushing fear mongering rumors, myths and old wives tales. It's like these people want us to gloss over, or forget hundreds of years of our early ancestors gardening and farming, well before things like Walmart gardening centers, or Tractor supply, or companies like Miraclegrow, or Dr Earth, or Neptune's Harvest even existed. These people couldn't just run to town and purchase some fertilizer, they found natural ways to make their own. A perfect example is fish fertilizer. People, farmers and backyard gardeners and Agriculture companies alike, used to scoff at people and mock people for using fish. Now all of a sudden every company has a fish emulsion fertilizer on the market lol. They would proclaim that putting a fish in the ground and then planting something over top of it would accomplish nothing …….. well no shit Sherlock. That's not what our ancestors, or the native Indians that taught them did either. They would pick the spot, in the fall, where they planned on growing the next spring and summer. Then they would dig up the soil and place the fish and then cover them back up and the fish would sit and break down and rot and decompose all throughout the fall, winter and early spring. Then they would plant their crops in that spot, where the fish was already well broken down and liquified and plant ready. Another example is then taking the words Pot Ash and combining them into one to make Potash. To make it seem like it's some rare, unattainable ingredient that only they have, so we must purchase it from them. Or how most high Nitrogen fertilizers have urea on the label, but they won't admit, and don't want you to know that yours and your animals urine is high in urea.
Great video and great explanation, thank you!! What is the shelf life of this fertilizer?
Can you use ash from a pellet stove? I know pellets use some kind of binder to make them solid, this might make them unusable?
I feed my potatoes potash. Both regular and sweet potatoes
In Africa I see vigorous plant growth on ground where grass and vegetation has been burnt to ashes.
I like it. 😎🧜♂️
