Rhizobium is a bacteria that give very basic nutrient to crops such as groundnut, urid dhal,black eye bean, etc.,
Plants take hydrogen, oxygen and carbondioxide directly from air. But, plants still need more vitamins and minerals like nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, zinc, iron, sulphur etc.,
Among these, Nitrogen(N), Phosphorous(P), Potassium(K) are the most essential nutrients for plant growth and yield.
Atmospheric air has 78% of nitogen. But, plants and animals can’t take nitrogen directly from air. These bacteria entered into the root and forms root nodule. They live in the root nodule and give supply nutrients and take their energy from plants. So, hey are also caled ‘symbiont’.
So, the Rhizobium bacteria take nitrogen from air and converted it in to Ammonia(NH4)then again converted as nitrite and nitrate by help of some other bacteria.
So, 1ml of liquid rhizobium bacteria has 100000000 bacteria aprroximately. Need to follow diffeent ratio when applies to sees, soil and water.
Apply this rhizobium bacteria on early morning or evening to avoid overheating bacteria. Bacteria will die in high temperature. Need to preserve these bacteria under 25°C.
